Armen oversees the editing and publishing process for Zadok and is commissioning editor for Engage.Mail. He brings a passion for integrating faith with life that has shaped his teaching, research, community work and commitment to helping individuals grow in their faith.

Armen’s doctorate was in cultural identity and longing for place. He was founding director of the Armenian Genocide Research Unit at Macquarie University, Sydney, and taught Social Ethics and Social Change at Macquarie Christian Studies Institute and overseas in Armenia. He worked as a researcher at the Centre for Research on Social Inclusion at Macquarie University, Sydney, and more recently as a researcher with The Salvation Army, Centre for Public Christianity, Christian Research Association and National Church Life Survey, alongside his freelance research work.

Armen spent a number of years developing young leaders and working with refugees in Armenia, and ministering among university students in Armenia and Australia. He has developed internship programs for university students and young leaders in both countries. He is a founding co-director of the Australian chapter of one of Armenia’s largest NGOs, Mission Armenia. He was on staff with The Australian Navigators, developing their ‘ministry at the margins’ with a focus on a public housing estate in Macquarie Park, Sydney, where he served with his Salvation Army church. He and his wife Karina Kreminski co-lead Neighbourhood Matters to 'form reflective practitioners for service in the ecology of the urban neighbourhood'.

He enjoys reading, writing, travelling, going for walks and spending time with friends.
